There is a cheap way to hold the valves up but you will need to access the crank bolt to turm the motor both ways. Take the plugs out. rockers off. with the piston down feed rope through the plug hole turn the motor by hand and I stress only by hand until the piston stops, change the springs and valve seals, rotate the engine backwards until the rope can be pulled out and move on to the next cylinder.
