is the bigger future plan for a small block?
if you are going smal block to small block you could get a ball bearing BDS 6-71 and a single carb top. wen it is time for the upgraded motor, just change the top and the puley and you are good to go.
no reason to spend the money twice buying crap parts you know you are going to outgrow.
i wouldn't count on getting more than 1 season out of a weiand blower.
