This story sounds so familar to me
My sister got her liscence on a friday and totaled her car by jumping a curb and taking down a street light too...... But she just didn't slow down into the turn there wasn't anyone around....... she bent the subframe though so the car wasn't worth it
It was a good car too!!! my dad bought it for like 300.00 bucks and fixed a mass air flow sensor and that was the only thing wrong with it
