Wow. Theres something I didnt know. As you see through out my entire post I have been defending my beloved rangers because they are so great and gave no props to any other teams in the league.... thats sarcasm if you didnt pick up on it. You devils fans with your stats, gosh dog it. What can I say you win the stat spewing contest.
I like going to rangers games because I always have fun, I guess you can say that Im a rangers fan at heart, I prefer west coast offence though. I like a game with flow and creativity, ive been to a lot of devils games, kind of boring if you ask me.
When a team basis their entire system around a proven method which takes away from the history and integrity of the sport, even if it works, which it does, I loose interest.
The devils are a solid team made of blue collar players who play as a team and win, opposed to the rangers I agree, but Im watching a game to see Jagers, Nylanders and Strakas stick handling, Howllwigs hitting, Pruchas speed, lundquivsts acrobatics. Ya know the stuff that actually makes going to the games worth while
If I wanted to watch 5 guys stand around backing up in the neutral zone Id stay home, maybe thats why the devils cant sell out a regular season game and have to move to Newark.
I wish the rangers drafted Parece (spelling) I like Janssens grit, Geonta is the man, brodeaur is a great goalie but he only faces an average of 25 shots a game so how do you say he is a great goalie, his save percentage has never been his greatest asset (this is where you devils stats finders go on Google and write a reply - go for it, im giving you ammo)
yet you will never hear a devils fan admitting to liking any rangers players. Or knowing when or when not their team is playing the trap, or how to run it, or how to break out agenst it, all you know is that your team wins, so you jump on the ship, yay we have a winning team, dont know how they do it, dont even care, every other player and team in the league sucks, the devils are awesome, yay
Rock on guys, there is a whole other side to the sport if you every open your eyes. Stop spewing stats and watch a Colorado Detroit game or something and see what your missing, its an amazing sport.
