heres a copy and paste from my inqury in tech:

As I could not get a straight answer on my 2002 Z28 clutch delema I sent an inqury e-mail to tech support at Fred Beans Chevrolet asking if my car came with an LS1 or LS6 clutch from the factory for those of you with mild engine upgrades who are considering using this clutch for low noise, stock pedal feel and driveability as I am. Here is his responce below...

"Anthony,

The newer Fbodies came with a form of the LS6 clutch but not the real deal. LS6 is really old news these days. Since September we’ve been using the LS7 clutch from the new 2006 Z06. It has more surface area and sustains more power and abuse. You can get pricing and final prices shipped on our site at www.fredbeansparts.com. Click where it says click here to search by part number. Use the following part numbers under Chevrolet make…

12571611 flywheel

24236500 clutch

14061685 pilot bearing

15046288 slave cylinder

Thanks.

Gene.
