In 2001, i hit a deer at about 15-20mph in my SS... car was 4 days old and had only 500 miles on it... i was pissed. Luckily bambi had lost its footing fight before the hit and my drivers side front bumper hit its torso instead of taking out its legs. I came to a stop but punted Bambi down the road and caused it to slide on its side about 15 feet... i could see it tryign to run as it was sliding and little puffs of fur were coming off. Finally it stopped and jumped up and ran away. Only damage the car got was a 3/4" crack in my fender(right to the side of the headlight and had some hair in it, lol), a bolt behind the headlight punctured the back reflector, and it bent a fender bracket. however... repairs cost me 1100. All GM parts and a high quality body shop... after i hit bambi, i went to the local cops and yelled... they asked me what i wanted them to do about it.. i said go find it a shoot the bastard! they laughed
