If the opti got that wet then I'd say it went bad. but a few things to check first. Make sure the coil wire on good, check the wire going into the coil for any corrosion. Too many people have replaced their optis only to fine a $3 coil wire was bad. Next check the plug wires and make sure that are fine. It's pretty easy to get two crossed, and you would be amazed how well the car will actually run that way. Also make sure the plug wires didn't get pulled out of the slots behind the power steering pump. If they did they pulley can cut through the wires enough for then to short out.
