If all you want to do is clean your TPI so it looks nice again, pull the runners and plenum off and leave the base installed so you don't have to fool with the distributor and intake gaskets. Then clean everything up, and paint the parts with Cast Aluminum paint. It'll look brand new, and only cost you an afternoon's work and a few $$ in the upper TPI gaskets.

im not doing just for it to look fancey, its becuz mine is crap my runners are cracked and dented, my top part is leaking air from somewhere, and the intake leaks from place ive never seen.
I just want to know if i can use it on my motor for a few years so i can enjoy the car while or in the future to build new motor.
