I have Grundy insurance right now, and they specifically state in their policy that the car cannot be used for racing. They also don't allow you to use it to run errands, where it will have to be parked in a parking lot, or take it to work. They're not going to know if you do all this, but if the car is damaged at the track or stolen from a mall, you're not covered. I would assume most other collector insurance companies would be the same.
They do allow "pleasure" driving, which means driving the car for leisure, taking it to car shows. Grundy doesn't have a mileage limit. However, if you have NJ collector's registration, than you're limited to 3,000 miles regardless.
