There is absolutely nothing wrong with a stock ported Intake. Edelbrock makes a new LT1 manifold but I haven't heard much feed back on them. I think BlackBirdWS6 has one on his car if memory serves me correct.
The only differences are a larger intake port for 58mm throttle bodies and larger ports.
