The silly thing about that '37 Ford that was in Hot Rod (the blue one above), is that it is a fiberglass body. Traditional street rods, rat rods, whatever you want to call tehm are cool, yeah, but c'mon...! Painting a fiberglass body rust-colored so that it looks like rust is just asinine! It's FIBERGLASS!! I have no problem with real rust, if that's the look you're going for or if you can afford to (or don't care to) fix it, but IMO, if you want a steel car, BUILD A STEEL CAR!! If you want rust, USE RUST!!
The writer of that article in Hot Rod sumed it up well: "It's like punk rock going Top 40. And Green Day sells a lot of records."
