I still have it on tapefrom when It had its 30th anniversery on speedtv. Steve McQueens son narrorated between commercials about the film, as the comic book guy would say in the Simpsons, Best movie ever!! If you look real hard at the begining when they show people showing up at the track, in the traffic in the one scene, theres a FOrd GT40 MkIII, and I believe the one Camera car was as high as 4th at one time they said, even after the cars steve and them were driving broke, but they had to keep coming in during the race and change the film. I'd show you all some pictures of a certain person I know's collection of cars, but im not really allowed to due to it beign his private collection, tho I dont see how its private when hes in every other Issue of my vintage motorsports magazine. Il jsut drop a few names of cars he got, and maybe, just maybe, at the next meet ill bring some photo's if you guys are intrested. hes got.... Corvette GS ( 1963, yes he owns one of the five ever built!!) two GT40's including the only MkIIB ever made, which was a mock up of two crashed GT40's given a different serial number, the most winningest 1969 917LH ( before they went to the K configuration which oyu know them as today wiht the short tail) A couple 908's Targa form, America's first Ferrari, a 166, almost all the cunninghams, a Mercedez Benz W154

, the last Martini Rossi 917 that raced

I love that car cause it was the last car I wanted to see that was on my list, so I completed one list of cars Ive always wanted to see, and...Porsches first factory made race car, also known as Chassis 550-01. The man is very nice, and knows his stuff. His workshop who he has a staff that maintains his cars, is soooo clean, NASA is jealous of how steril it is lol.
