If he got the 4 hours labor to fix your original hood, now would be a smart time to get the aftermarket hood and have him paint it and install it for you. The money he's going to get repair your original should cover all the labor and materials to install a new one. Usually the aftermarket hoods do need some adjustments here and there, so now would be the time to do it. Also see if they would do some compounding to the entire car(messy job with LOTS of dust)and polish the entire rest of the car that doesn't get painted, to match the gloss of the new front end paint. Just an idea!
