Don't forget to factor in new front springs & shocks, and all the time it will take for you (or the shop doing the swap) to fabricate everything and custom build wiring harnesses for you. That stuff will add up very fast, and I am willing to bet it would be well over $500.

Heck, I'm pretty sure I could buy an LS1 & trans and drop it into a 3rd gen for less cash and be way faster with or without mods.

Now, if you're gonna do it because you want to have something different, then go for it - but don't do it thinking that it's gonna be the most economical way to go fast.
