for those who weren't paying attention, there is no shortage of gasoline. the refineries have had to cut back to avoid a major over-supply, which would make the price nose dive in a hurry.
i still say if the whole country stopped buying gas for one week that would be enough to get them to drop the price. they may be greedy, but they'd know we were serious if we stopped for a week. then, for those of you that took the bus or car-pooled or however you got to wor, you would now have a new way to get to work. you wouldn't have to depend on your car anymore. that would curtail our usage even more and they'd be forced to drop the price to get us to use more. $4.00 a gallon is highway robbery. no one is going to step in on our behalf to put a cap on the price. remember, people like Bush are making money while the price is this high... why would he stop himself from making money?

Not buying gas for a week is easier saids then done. the problem is they just had a meeting with the top 5 CEO-s of the oil companies a couple weeks ago, and istead of making them do something, they jsut asked them a few questions and let the go on there way... The dems said that you guys should start researching alternative fuels...TO THE OIL COMPANIES, like they would listen, and the Rep's said to start drilling more to get more oil, so either both sides are playing dumb, or they really are. How come Car companies have to be the ones to have a whole set of laws on them for fuel efficiancy, when in reality, theres no shortage of oil, theres no need to make cars go 35 mpg in 2015. Why are nt there any laws on the oil companies, why isnt there any sanctioning group to prevent them to make these prices this rediculously high? its all politics, money talks, and when they make a profit of 90+ billion last quarter, and laughing at everyone driving around, something has to be done, and why isnt the American government listening, whatever happened to to peoples voices? Not getting gas wont do anything, and we always talk about ti, but its only in mumbles, there really needs to be rally's, there really hasto be voices spoken.
Oh and if there was one thing I could ask the presidential candidates right now, I would ask this:
Recently as you know, the price of oil has skyrocketed to unimaginable prices over the past 8 years, and nothign has been done about it, my question is, would you try to mandate a law, or department to monitor oil, or would you allow them to continue what they are doing, and no long answer just fight or no fight, tahts all I want to know.
Forget these I want to cut taxes, they wont, I wantto change America, ok, then get started by working on this oil thing, this IS somethig thatst affecting America as a whole, and God damnit I want to do something about it, I widh we could all go to Washington D.C. and protest. Whos with me? Im ready to go RIGHT NOW to fight for not only F-body owners, but everyone all over the country. from those small businesses whos major source of income was delivering, ot the Airlines and trucking industry, they are the lifeblood of America, and im sick of sitting here and watchign the Next Rockafellers's sit back and rape our country. do they not realize that THEY are the ones ruining our economy?
