yes but a Bugatti is not only a performance car, but is also to have luxury. Now what do you think would get someone attention faster, saying you own a Corvette or a Bugatti? same thing with Ferrari's , you can pay twice as much for a car that doesnt surpass 200mph, but its the badging that get the attention, and its not jsut the top speed your buying, but the innovation that comes with it like F1 style shifting, adjustable modes of driving, and inhouse R&D and parts made there. Personally I dont like the Bugatti Veyron, cause just like the ZR1, its highly overrated, plus the Bugatti never had the official top speed record from guiness, infact an american car company built a car that can got 257 mph with a twin tubrocharged V8, and doesnt cost 1 million, infact I believe the pricetag is around 700,000. what im trying to get at is the only reason this car is getting so much hype is cause of the name badging, it didnt make any leaps and bounds in Corvette history except for being the first vette to go to 200mph, but other then that is nothing more then a supercharged standard vette to me.
and as for the ZO6 topping out at 80K, thats great, now take that other 20K that oyu were gonna use to buy the ZR1, and find out just how much faster it will go. A damn tune to the ZO6, and youll hit 200mph. Id rather have a Ford GT then a ZR1 cause it has style, its original, and has more of an iconic racing past then Corvette, as to where the C6's look like nothing more then revamped C5's. :yawn: show me a Corvette that gets as much hype as this one does and go more around 215-220, and then ill tip my hat at it.
