while i applaud your efforts at curtailing your personal gasoline usage, i do not appreciate your attitude sometimes. if everyone does what you've been doing since january, then they would have to take notice was my point. tell me it's not true.
now, getting people united is an altogether different story. i can't even get the people in this thread to understand that there is no gasoline shortage. how would i go about uniting millions to boycott gasoline altogether for one week? and most people have sick days, so it's not like they'd be missing out on pay that week. i can't think of a single reason not to do it. so some industries would be shut down for a week... and perhaps some conveniences would become a little more challenging. i'd be willing to do it, no matter how much it hurt me. the point is, the oil companies would not be able to ignore it.
