Yea, but the government in some states is starting to meddle with people who are making their own biodiesel, since they aren't paying a fuel tax. Not to mention the fact that there is only so much french fry oil to go around.
Don't take that the wrong way - I would love to be in the financial position to be able to buy an older diesel car and make my own fuel. We just can't rely on it as a whole.
I think more people should be buying diesel vehicles one way or another. Sure the price is higher, but with the mileage increase it helps to cancel that out (and then some).
