i donno but on my 4th gen, i took off the caliper and rotor, hit the studs out with a hammer, then used a stud installing tool and purred them on with a 1/2" impact gun. taking the axle out isn't necessary. there is a sweet spot and some finnesing involved but its doable. is it disc brakes or drum brakes on the axle? oh and did the studs brake off of the adapters or the axle?
