To night i got the suprise of my life when i went to pick up my car a few blocks from my office in lower Manhattan. My car is parked in doors along with a few other hundred cars. Before i leave the office i call the garage and they have the car ready for me when i get there. To night they told me they could not move my car because the Ignition lock was frozen and i was blocking many, many other cars. I went to my car and tried the lock myself no matter which way i turned the wheel the lock would not move. Finally i tried the key supplied by Saturn that is in a little card for your wallet and i was able to unlock the ignition. Got home an hour late and after supper tried the extra key that i keep home and that would not work. Finally i soaked the cylinder with WD-40 and then used a liquid lock lubricant that contained graphite. Tried the keys again and they all worked. Any body come up with this in the past. I am thinking of getting a new set of keys from Saturn to be on the safe side. Only thing i can think off is a piece of lint, paper etc stuck inside the cylinder.

Any ideas please let me know. Getting stuck in Manhattan could be very costly. Like $150.00 to jump start a dead battery.

from a saturn forum...might work...we gotta replace it asap though.
