Binding brakes?

since TGO is failing me, figured id throw it out here. It seems that my brake system is binding or something, i have only about 1" of total pedal travel before it (the pedal) just stops dead, you can stand on the pedal and no more. The car stops fine, but if you panic stop you cant lock or come close to locking the wheels. The pedal is not binding on anything that i can see and most everything else is new/newer. Its the stock 3rd gen booster, ls1 master, c5 fronts and 4th gen Camaro rear discs with a disc/disc prop valve.

Also, if i unbolt the master and press the brake pedal, will it hurt anything? seals ect? Im a little confused here
