There is a known problem with one of the Window's updates, and a resetting of firewall settings. If you use Zone Alarm as a firewall, there will be a conflict with Zone Alarm and the new firewall settings within IE. One fix is to disable the firewall within IE, and make sure Zone Alarm is ON, with all of their current updates. That's what fixed mine.
EDIT: Make sure Zone Alarm recognizes the PC / network you are connected to by looking at the liststings in the Trusted section. If your PC / network isn't listed, manually kick off a search for networks or unplug then plug in the network cable.
