Hey, anyone ever hear of FreeCycle Network?
http://www.freecycle.org/ You join your local community/communities, and then you can post things you'd normally throw out, or find things you'd like. Everything is free, including membership, listing items, and the items themselves. People have picked up furniture, computers, TVs, etc, for free, as well as listed things to give away.
I know most people would prefer to get money for many things, but sometimes things just aren't worth the hassle trying to sell. This makes it easier to get rid of it without sending it to the landfill where it probably doesn't belong.
Just thought I'd pass the word. You never know what you may find, and you never know how much clutter you could get rid of!
