yep as was said above the float valve might be set incorrect or it is dirty, both will over flow the bowl through the vent tube, first you need to stop the problem take off the bowl and clean it with carb spray THAN to set the float level correctly -- if fuel is coming out of it the front you can take the side screw out on the side of the float bowl and adj the float level just to the bottom of the screw hole threads that will set the fuel level at the correct setting ---- NOTE car must be flat and level and running to do this setting if it has a block fuel pump or an electric this is the correct way to set the level in the bowl ----- their is no power valve in the rear of a vacuum carb only a low performance double pumper, and if the power valve is BLOWN out than the car will run real rich and act like its on choke with no high idle speed, sooo you should first clean and try to set the float level that will at least get you in the ball park CAUTION buy a Holley carb book and read it Because if you screw it up you will light the car of fire - the books show a tool to set the level but all the drag guys use the run method to bottom of screw hole -- jz
