Camaro = the economical true sports car, built with power and handling and a typical GM plasticy interior, albeit a much more stylish than usual one
Mustang = the generic pony car, not cheap or expensive, not great or terrible looking, not great handling or horrible, not the fastest or the slowest of the segment
Challenger = the luxury angle. It rides a ton better than the mustang and I am sure it will be smoother riding than the Camaro(it's a dodge thing), it is by far the most expensive, and being a chrysler product, it will get the worst mileage by a lot but look fabulous doing it.
Just like back in the golden age of the muscle car, there is no apples to apples comparison. Ford will continue to get by on advertising and special editions, GM will still make the fast one that everyone can afford, and Chrysler will win the "look at me" fat wallet muscle crowd.
