Whats funny is nearly EVERY mod thats been listed here other than suspension parts requires a tune.
LS6 intake on an 00 Vehicle that HAS egr requires a tune
Gears require a tune
Headers w/ no cats requires a tune
New rear(if it has different gears from stock) requires a tune
28lb injectors from your stock injectors requires a tune
Most of the small bolt on's mentioned lid, catback, & SFC's you already have which basically leaves the shifter, misc suspension parts, & a ported throttle body as about the only mods that aren't "free" mods that you can do without tuning.
My opinion may be considered biased but in all honesty anything that affects incoming or outgoing airflow should be compensated for via the pcm. If you ignor it you could face poor drivability, shifting issues, lean or rich conditions at wot and or part throttle, etc.
