Jacob pretty much nailed it on the head.. What Daemontools does is create an imaginary CD-Rom drive, and allows you to mount an ISO file... an ISO file is an exact image of a CD, so basically when you mount an ISO, it's almost like putting the CD into a CD-Rom drive. Very effective program. There is also other programs that are more versitile than DaemonTools, but thats pretty much the standard program everybody uses to mount an ISO.
