If it is the original Pontiac dark green it is called "Brewster Green", the lighter green was less metallic and more of a British Racing Green called "Goodwood Green"

Both were offered with either a black or matching green interior. The green interiors did not age well though, so many "restorations" switched to black. It was very common for both greens to be sold with a black vinyl top and occasionally you will find a Brewster car with a white top and interior, it is a really sharp color combination when restored.
