im leaving for the army tomorrow. i was thinking marines when i first wanted to join but a few things led me away from them. not to mention my mom and uncle were both in the army as well. my MOS is military police and im going in as an e-3 due to the marine corps jrotc i took in high school. all i can say is make sure you find out what you really want to do and dont take any **** from the recruiters saying you cant do this or that. take the asvab and go from there. if you dont wanna be in the **** directly try going for some kind of mechanic job or other supporting role in which ever service you pick.

theres always reserves and national guard too if you want to take that route
