Looked at Astra's - didn't like the interior. Exterior was alright.
Looked at the HHR - I couldn't get over the big wagon wheels look
Didn't bother looking at the GTI - you guys blasted it with crap
Couldn't find a WRX for <27000 so within reasonable distance from my house, so I didn't bother with it.
I'm picking my car up shorty though
