Another thing about recruiters is once you give them your info they have it. They will submit it other places w/o you knowing and it can keep you from getting a job. If you put in your resume to company A and they already got your resume from joe recruiter, if they hire you they have to pay that guy or they may get sued. Which can kill the opportunity.
