+1 on that. ive done quite a few 5800rpm clutch dumps on hoosier QTP DOT slicks. the softer sidewall absorbs the shock as opposed to a drag radial having a stiff sidewall and delivering a shock. although DOT legal, i wouldnt recommend them for street use. theyre really more for the track.
you have alllll year long. just save up and buy yourself a set for the track and keep the street tires for the street.
