My guess is that being given no raise after two years of working as a part time "lube tech" (for want of a more precise term) and with your employer aware of your schooling and career aspirations, it's likely that they have little intention of giving you either more money or opportunity to advance. Dealerships are all about the bottom line. The less they pay out, the more they make. Entry level techs are currently in abundance.

I'd suggest you take the earlier advice and be straight up with the service manager. Tell him you need to make more money and that you want to know that there's latitude with the company. Explain the economic aspect of the Loew's offer and see what he says. If there's no money and no latitude, you're already at a dead end at that dealership. Go to Loew's and make more money while you finish your training.
