That's definately a good middle of the road cam, but keep im ind the 98's have the weak connecting rod bolts so if you do a head/cam swap you may be asking for trouble if you don't do some bottom end work. The stock 243 (LS6) springs will be able to handle that cam no problem but if you have the money a good set of double springs, titanium retainers etc would be smart.
