plans of pontiac getting axed were long time coming, id heard months and months back, something like by 2011 all pontiacs will just be rebadged chevys and then by 2014 pontiac will be no more.
as for solstice/sky.. they only stopped work on the next generation model as of now, they are still making the current design version just with little changes every year, ie the solstice targa(there will be no sky version)
