The dealer is paying a floor plan just to have them sit and the factory doesn't care because once the car hits the dealer lot it is considered SOLD by GM. How does the "Excitement" division say afloat with the styling changes that NEVER came in the past. Take the Grand Prix, 1990-1996 same design, 1997-2003 same design and 2003-2008 same design. During these years they didn't even change the cigar lighter or the wheel covers. How long can you suck a design dry before the public says why buy a "NEW" one when the one they have (that is 3-4 years old) LOOKS the same. They did this crap with the Bonneville until it was killed, the Firebird from 1998-2002, the Grand Am and so forth. Every design was used for 5-6 years without a thought to freshen it up. Ford makes a design change or a Special Edition several times a year with the Mustang and the press and the public go wild. Had to go to a Ford dealer the other day and he had 5 Mustangs on the floor, two ROUSH, two G.T.500KR and a Caroll Shelby Edition (Dark Blue with White Stripes) and all of the were priced between $47,000 and $54,000. I must say to stood there and drolled . They looked awesome and when they started one in the lot it sounded like a NASCAR cup car. Now I feel better, LONG LIVE PONTIAC!
buicks sell like crazy overseas
