How does the "Excitement" division say afloat with the styling changes that NEVER came in the past. Take the Grand Prix, 1990-1996 same design, 1997-2003 same design and 2003-2008 same design. During these years they didn't even change the cigar lighter or the wheel covers. How long can you suck a design dry before the public says why buy a "NEW" one when the one they have (that is 3-4 years old) LOOKS the same. They did this crap with the Bonneville until it was killed, the Firebird from 1998-2002, the Grand Am and so forth. Every design was used for 5-6 years without a thought to freshen it up. Ford makes a design change or a Special Edition several times a year with the Mustang and the press and the public go wild. Had to go to a Ford dealer the other day and he had 5 Mustangs on the floor, two ROUSH, two G.T.500KR and a Caroll Shelby Edition (Dark Blue with White Stripes) and all of the were priced between $47,000 and $54,000. I must say to stood there and drolled . They looked awesome and when they started one in the lot it sounded like a NASCAR cup car. Now I feel better, LONG LIVE PONTIAC!
