Alright Al here's what I found.

This weekend I think I finally did it in. The mower will only start and run for a few seconds now before dying. So tonight I pulled one wire and tried to start and it ran for a few seconds before dying. Put that back on and pulled the other wire and it just cranks...no start, sputter, etc.

Do you think I've fried both coils at this point? Or possibly something else in the ignition system?

Here's the info off the motor.

Briggs and Stratton
20 hp
Model 461707
Type 0143 E1
Code 0003085B
