Macs don't get viruses because anything you install on a mac it asks your permission first. Microsoft has way too many security problems that's why there are so many viruses for it.

I don't know Macs that well, but am taking some refresher courses for it...Im not trying to start a pissing contest on here, just putting out my observations based from my experience.
The military uses Microsoft products and they have hundreds of attempts into their systems on any given month with very little to no success...my point here is that a well configured Microsoft system is just as much of a nightmare for hackers as any MAC system can be. The reason there are so many more viruses for Microsoft is because that even now more people still use Microsoft vs. Mac.
Microsoft usually releases Service Packs to increase the efficiency of their OS and to patch security holes that are found in the OS after release, if the automatic update feature is used, many software issues are usually worked out.
I don't think I would necessarily throw out my computer because it has a software bug, that seems a little extreme
. I would prob just ask a friend who goes to school for computer science or IT to take a look at it, who knows they might be able to make it run more efficiently too.
