a thought about carfax...

i was thinking, since seeing the latest commercial for carfax, where the person buying a used car demands to see a carfax and won't accept anything but a carfax, wouldn't it be great if we had other ways to use history to determine if we should buy something or get involved in something...

ex-girlfriendfax: wouldn't this be great? it sure would cut down on the possibility of running into a psychowhorefromhell. demand to see an ex-girlfriendfax on the first date. accept nothing as a substitute. could also be used as an ex-boyfriendfax. or ex-wifefax. etc.

jobfax: find out why there is such a high turnover rate at a job you are considering. if it's a sales job, find out if those bonuses the mgrs keep talking about are actually attainable or if they are really pie-in-the-sky. if it's an office job, find out why the last ten people left. find out if the managers are trying to do "more with less", as in overloading the workers to the point that they cannot complete their assigned duties.

housefax: yeah, i know there are certain inspections in place that are there to protect the buyer, but find out the real nitty-gritty before hand. ask for a housefax, accept no substitutions, and find out what really is going on with the house you are about to buy. will that hot-water heater really last another twenty years? how about the plumbing and electrical?

what do you think should be the next "blank" fax?
