training in general. according to arnold schwarze******s modern encyclopedia of bodybuilding...there are two types of muscle fibers, red and white. red is non aerobic, used mainly during lifting, and white is aerobic, mostly for cardio and stuff.
overtraining begins when you train too much in a short period of time and doesnt let your muscles recover fully, the white fibers feed off of the red fibers, losing muscle mass i would assume.
