Same problem as Camarobirds (both LT1 and LS1): hard shifting, the clutch never fully disconnecting. At least on the car I test drove.
I think they use the spring inserts under the friction pads on the disc, that expand thicker than the range of the pressure plate travel, I've read an article about it in some online magazine.
I've bought my Camaro used, and one of the factors why I bought that particular car was that it was shifting a lot better than any other Camaro I test-drove. As it has turned out later, when the clutch wore out, it had a 4-puck race clutch from SPEC.Changing it to RAM made it as bad as any other Camaro.
I was thinking about going to a 4-puck clutch again, but I autocross the car in F-Stock, and the clutch must be factory type in this class. So I'm happy that the Stage 1 factory-type clutch has worked out just as good.
