we use PPG envirobase (waterborn) for our main system... but when we do budget paint jobs for people... (we have a late 90's camry in now for a full paint) we use OMNI products... as stated above they are mid grade PPG stuff... i used omni clear on the hood on my firebird and its holding up well now after 2 years... nason paints arent to bad... they are low grade... been out forever though.. they say not to mix systems.... but if your useing a solvent based system to a solvent based system and let the basecoat flash for a decent amount of time... you should be ok shooting a house of colors transparent over it.... see what everyone else thinks though... theres always a chance for the paint to lift or somthing... but i dont think it should be a problem..
