From what I understand the 98 tank is steel still. The others all have a return, you would have to remove the internal pressure regulator though and re-plumb part of the system. The plastic tanks have a "T" block right before the fuel filter that the filter screws into. You could easily replace the "T" with some fittings to make the plastic tank work. I am not familiar with the LT1 cars but if the fuel filter is in the same place as the 3rd gens had then you could make it work fairly easy with 2 adapter fittings, IIRC from memory. I ran -6AN line from the tank all the way to the fuel rails but if I had to do it again with stock factory hard lines I could figure out which fittings to buy.
