Keep breaking front pump !!! Wtf?

lq9(heads,cam,intake,boost-9psi,etc.etc....)
4l60e (built professionally w/ all the goodies)
tci 3800-4000 stall converter with antiballoon plates
0 miles on it 1st. time car on dyno front pump broke. builder told me i installed converter wrong, told him fat chance. i've put bout 1000 in my automotive career.
put trans back in,
drove for 2 weeks, put 1500 miles on it.
parked car yesterday, started it this morn, put it in drive n nothing. checked it out and front pump broke again. wtf?
the tci converter has 1/8" play between fly & mounting pads. which is normal spacing before converter is pulled to fly and bolted.
stock flyweel.
everyone tellin me its bad converter, find that hard to believe.
maybe flexplate ballooning? crank end play(fresh build doubt it)
what are your guys thoughts? and have you had this problem?
