ummmmm... it is also possible for a bad intake gasket. i have seen that several times. bad intake gasket/improperly installed can cause coolant in the engine without white smoke in the exhaust.
there is a test that you can have done @ a shop. it includes a dye that is mixed with your coolant to test for any exhaust gases/fuel in the coolant. this will tell you if coolant is entering the combustion chamber. this way you know if it is a head gasket or intake/head wterjacket problem.
see kevin @ jeffs budget brakes & mufflers on rt.88 in pt.pleasant if your close enough. he is a cert. gm tech that is a buddy of mine and could help you with the test.
