it seems like you are probably best off with a 4l80e, ive been lookin into a th400 or a 4l80e too and they are both strong the only big difference is the weight and overdrive for those long cruises if i remember right...but i also think that the 97 and newer 4l80s were stronger that the prior years...but if you go 4l60 i got one in my car right now rebuilt like a yearish ago
