I could be wrong on the ID versus OD. I always thought hose was given in ID and tubing was given in OD because a 3/8 hose should fit over 3/8 tubing. Think fuel line in an old car. When the metal line transitions from hard line to rubber.

Either way, it sounds like you need to be working with -8 stuff for a 1/2 blowdown tube.
