This, even more so when it comes to international news. You couldn't believe the discrepancies that I have found when that Russia-Georgia mini conflict broke out. In the very beginning, US news agencies were saying that Russian tanks are headed for Tbilisi (capital) and about to demolish everything, while the Russians were saying they were just doing some peace keeping
Later, of course CNN took back their statements because they were untrue, even the Georgian side stated that. And Russian's amended their position on "peace keeping". It also helped that I could read in multiple languages. BBC was the most accurate and consistent of all sites that I have found during that time.
So in short, multiple outlets FTW.
