China does have safety issues concerning their cars, and I'm willing to bet they are goign to be using Volvo's technology to greatly improve upon it, and try to begin to sell massivly and globaly. Volvo will remain in Sweden, I doubt they will cut back on their safety, and China will get the necessary safety technology they need. If Volvo does own Mack, I can see them improving their commercial trucks over there as well.

And Tata has NOTHING to do with the current XF or XJ outside of keeping the funding going to make it happen. The XF/XJ were designed by Ed Callum, same guy who designed the boring Astons above.
