They make step up rings to allow you to use more filters at a wider diameter so they don't get captured by the lens, like if the lens has a 52mm thread on it you can use one filter, then say a 52mm to 58mm adapter ring, then a 58mm filter, then if you want to run more, then a 58mm to 62mm ring and so on.

Hey, this is Sarah. I do have a UV filter on it. The camera isn't on me right now, but I do believe it's a 52mm. I'm going to be completely honest with you and say that I have no clue what capturing the ring of the outer filter looks like.
But, when editing those pictures I played around with the lighting and added shadow to the outer edges. Thank you for pointing that out thought, any advice to make my pictures look better is absolutely welcomed!
